SKILLED PSV / HGV SHIFT FITTER
Folkestone, Kent
Folkestone is a 53 vehicle fleet and one of the most profitable depots within the East
Kent group.
We require an experienced, competent fitter who has served a recognised
apprenticeship as a fitter/mechanic, and holds NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications
in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance. PSV or HGV experience, especially on Volvo, Scania and
MAN, would be an advantage.
Able to work on your initiative when necessary to make decisions on the best way to
tackle breakdowns or accidents, you will also be a strong team player for the day to day
servicing/MOT requirements of our busy workshop.
Working as a shift fitter, you will be working a four-man rotating shift rota, five out of
seven days on an early, day and late pattern between the hours of 0600 and 01.00. You
will carry out some electrical and body repairs, so experience of this would be useful.
Full UK driving licence is required. A PCV Licence would be an advantage, however,
training can be provided.
