Relocation creates five new jobs
A German-owned coin distributor for the Royal Mint has set up offices in Kent, creating five jobs.
British Numismatic Treasury has launched at International House in Ashford in a move brokered by Locate in Kent, an agency that tries to attract business to the county.
The company is the UK subsidiary of MDM, based in Brunswick.
It makes collectable and commemorative coins, although each one issued is legal tender.
Its arrival represented the 1,000th investment project assisted by Locate in Kent since it was launched in 1997, and brings the number of jobs it has helped create or protect to more than 63,000.
