111 Service Advisor - NHS
South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SECAmb) has a vision to ‘support our staff to provide a caring, high quality and efficient urgent and emergency care service to our communities’.
Our 3,500 staff provide services to 4.7m people across Kent, Surrey, Sussex and North East Hampshire. We handle over 1 million calls to 999 and 1 million calls to NHS 111 every year.
111 Service Advisors
As a service advisor, you will be answering calls from the general public, which will include:
- Repeat prescription requests
- Callbacks from patients escalating queries from previous calls with the service
- Escalating clinical concerns to our Health Advisors
- Chasing the Out of Hours providers for a resolution
You will be able to solve routine problems and make straightforward judgements. If you are successful, you will possess general skills and work under close supervision.
The post holder will handle selected calls from patients and healthcare professionals, updating systems as appropriate and following standard operating procedures to respond to callers’ questions.
You do not have to have previous experience within the healthcare sector, as full and comprehensive training will be provided.
You be be required to work a 15 hour week covering weekends and all bank holidays. This role is being offered on a 12 month fixed term contract.
