Wire & Plastic Products Ltd is a Kitchen and Bathroom domestic wire product manufacturer based in Hythe, Kent. We have a vacancy for an Accounts/Administrative assistant in our small but busy accounts department.
The successful candidate will need to have a good working knowledge of Pegasus 3 operating system or a similar operating system: (sales,purchases, nominal & payroll) and MS Office (excel, Word & Outlook). The company also runs a number of other software packages which you would be expected to learn.
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
The role includes:
Inputting orders to create delivery notes and then to create invoices.
Inputting cash received against invoices, raising statements, chasing late payers, and liaising as necessary with solicitors.
Liaising with transport companies to ensure on time deliveries, and dealing with problems as they occur.
Running the weekly payroll and dealing with payroll queries and maintaining holiday and sickness records. Dealing with HMRC as necessary.
Maintaining the petty cash, cash receipts and payment books.
Overall the roll calls for an individual who is prepared to be flexible and willing to turn their hand to any task.
The hours of work are:
8.30am to 5.00pm (Monday to Thursday inclusive)
8.30am to 1.00pm (Friday's)
A one hour lunch break applies Monday to Thursday.
4 weeks holiday plus Bank Holidays will apply.
Job Type: Full time (34.5 hours per week)
Salary: negotiable dependent on experience,in the region of £18,500
Living local to Hythe, Kent would be an advantage.
