JGF Electrical is a small family business, that is growing rapidly. We are an electrical contractor, that works mainly across the commercial sector, and complete a small portion of domestic works.

Description of Vacancy

We are looking to hire an Administrator to assist with the busy office, and working alongside the office manager. The role will include adhoc administrative duties, and you will work as part of a team to ensure the day to day running of the business runs smoothly.

  • Providing office support to management team
  • Keeping organised with all filing
  • Assist with research where required
  • Answering office telephone
  • Assisting with CRM System
  • Managing stock levels within the warehouse, and engineers’ vans
  • Following purchasing process through from PO to invoice
  • Assisting with the processing of supplier invoices and statements
  • General Data entry where required
  • Dealing with Post and Deliveries

Wage

£200 per week

A pay review will take place after 6 months of service.

Hours

Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

1 hour per day, unpaid lunch

20% paid time during working hours is given to complete training, referred to as "Off the Job Training"

Qualifications Required

GCSE Grade 9 - 4 (or A - C) in English and Maths as a minimum. Or equivalent qualifications in these subjects.

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard - Business administrators have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors. This includes small and large businesses alike; from the public sector, private sector and charitable sector. The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support their own progression towards management responsibilities.

Additional Detail

As of 1st April 2023, the NMW for Apprentices is £5.28 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
