If Kent Police is to be effective in preventing crime and bringing offenders to justice while maintaining the trust and confidence of the public, it needs to show that it reflects and understands the diverse communities that it serves.

This applies not only in recruitment but across all promotional ranks and within specialist roles. This builds on the Chief Constables Mission of “Providing a first class service protecting and serving the people of Kent”.

It is therefore imperative that Kent Police is representative of our communities, and is seen as an employer of choice that attracts, develops and retains talented people from those diverse backgrounds.
