The Kings Ferry - one of the leading private coach hire companies in London as well as Kent, Sussex and Surrey - is currently on the lookout for new drivers to join its expanding family.
The company will open its doors on Saturday, February 23 in Gillingham by hosting a Driver Open Day for those interested in a new career at The Kings Ferry.
You can meet the team, tour the state of the art coaches and even chat to some of the drivers to get a first-hand glimpse of what it’s like to be part of The Kings Ferry.
Don’t have the obligatory PCV licence to drive a coach or your PCV licence needs to be renewed? No problem.
The Kings Ferry’s experienced team is on hand to help train drivers get their PCV licence. Recruits will, however, need to be first issued a provisional PCV licence.
Apart from the added benefit of being part of a growing team and close family, there is also the opportunity to explore different parts of the UK and Europe.
There are also flexible working hours in a job where you can earn up to £32,000 per year basic salary.
Those who need further convincing of the career prospects at The Kings Ferry need only listen to Anthony Smith, the company’s operations manager.
Anthony has been in the PCV transport industry for over 35 years and had initially applied at the company as a driver before stepping into the role of night duty controller.
From then on, it was blue skies and green lights.
“I quickly advanced through the ranks, with training and guidance from the experienced people around me,” he said.
“Being operations manager of this fantastic company makes me extremely proud. The Kings Ferry is a great place to work and an excellent place to grow your career.”
The company has established a reputation for providing quality luxury coach hire services while adhering to Duty of Care legislation.
The Kings Ferry also operate the largest Kent to London coach hire service for commuters.
Anthony adds: “We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction, safety, reliability and quality of work.
“We are also a business that recognise people and the good work they do, advancement and opportunity are always available.
“We are more than a business we are a family, and we want that family to continue to grow. “
