Mackenzies Chartered Accountants are three office general practice with a wide range of clients throughout Kent and the UK. We require applications from suitably qualified and experienced accounts seniors to work in our Maidstone office. Applicants should have several years experience working in practice and be competent to produce, on their own initiative, an excellent standard of accounts file for owner managed limited company businesses typically ranging from £100,000 to several million. You will also need to be experienced in corporation tax, vat returns and management accounts, personal tax experience would also be useful. Our principal software packages are Iris and Sage and experience of these would be helpful.

Qualification wise you will either be ICAEW or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or almost qualified (training package considered) or QBE / AAT if you can demonstrate excellent prior experience. For the right person there is genuine progression prospects to accounts manager and then subject to qualifications, to practice director in the short to medium term.

It is essential that you possess excellent analytical and communication skills and you must feel confident in discussing all accountancy queries directly with clients and be able to supervise and train junior staff - you will be expected to present our accounts managers and directors with well ordered and complete accounts files for final review.
