Applicants are invited to apply for the Electrical Technician vacancy within the Maintenance Department, based at the Port of Sheerness. This role will work across a rolling shift pattern. Role Purpose: To work with the Maintenance Management Team to deliver on-time delivery of continuous work flow, customer satisfaction and zero defects. The ideal candidate will be required to carry out maintenance on heavy plant machinery, cranes, process plant equipment and infrastructure. This role will include the following responsibilities: -Complete planned and reactive electrical maintenance activities and carry out modifications to all types of heavy plant and equipment, working in an effective and safe way -Liaise with operations and prioritise breakdown repairs, using fault finding diagnostic techniques and equipment to ensure reactive maintenance impact is minimised -Carry out all duties with due care and attention adhering to the Company's Health and Safety Policy and HSE -Operate plant and machinery as required and provide strategic recommendations to solve problems. Report any part and material deficits to the Maintenance Team Leader -To work individually or as part of a multi-skilled team, focusing on engineering maintenance, demonstrating commitment to multi-skilled activity where appropriate -Ensure completion of documentation including daily logs and job reports Applicants interested in this role should ideally possess the following skills and experience: -Time served apprentice or qualified to a minimum ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering/Maintenance -Previous experience of working with heavy plant, infrastructure and equipment in an industrial environment is essential -Able to fault find and problem solve, using up to date fault finding diagnostic techniques and equipment is essential -Handle and prioritise multiple tasks, projects and change in a fast moving operational environment, possessing a flexible approach to working hours -Previous experience of working at heights and in confined spaces, within challenging environments would be advantageous -Ideally possess some Mechanical skills -A full valid Driving Licence is essential In return you will receive: -Competitive Salary -Excellent Holiday entitlement -Generous Flexible Benefits Package -Company Pension with matching contributions of up to 10%
