Based at our Sevenoaks Office, Sevenoaks train station is a 10 minute walk away and there are public car parks in the area. There is no on site parking.
Description of vacancy
An Apprentice is needed to support the Training and Employment Coordinator. West Kent is a large Kent based Housing Association. West Kent are based in our modern state of the art offices, in Central Sevenoaks with excellent transport facilities.
The apprentices will have a varied and diverse role, whilst being fully supported by experienced managers.
Provide administration support to the training and employment strand of West Kent Communities. This will require supporting the training and employment coordinator in delivering a variety of projects and priorities on time and in a professional way including the planning of events, storing and retrieving information, producing documents and data.
The post holder will have the opportunity to learn news skills; they will accompany the T&E coordinator to business meetings, consult with stake holders, such as local partners, tenants and young people, assist the T&E coordinator in developing work placements and volunteer opportunities, accompany the T&E coordinator on home visits, assist with group work as well as supporting the T&E coordinator with researching, monitoring and evaluating projects.
They will be given on the job learning and development opportunities, attending courses where relevant to the post holder.
£129.00 per week
Can demonstrate good English and Maths skills, IT literate, confident and can also demonstrate good communication and people skills.

Minimum GCSE A – C grades in English is a must.
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework - consisting of the NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
