Office Support Junior
Michael’s Bridal Fabrics are a family-run business which has been involved with bridal fabrics for over 20 years. We are well known for the quality and variety of our fabrics and accessories which are sourced across Europe.
We believe In a quality product, excellent customer service and attention to detail. We pride ourselves in the extensive range of beautiful fabrics we offer. We also supply an ever expanding range of wedding laces, appliqués, crystal edgings, plain fabrics and many other products chiefly for making wedding dresses.
Description of vacancy
Do you love bridal wear? Then is the place for you. Our Customers are spread throughout Europe and we are looking for an enthusiastic IT literate person to support our busy team.
As Office Support junior you will have general office responsibilities as well as supporting our IT manager with Social Media updates and network management. There are plenty of prospects for advancement for the right candidate.
We are looking for someone to complete general office duties and to offer support to our team. Some of the duties included will be:-
- Post In/Out/Couriers
- Managing emails
- Managing orders
- Data Inputting
- General Filing duties
£4.50 per hour starting wage £180.00 per week. Potential for full time employment for the correct candidate.
40 hours a week, over 5 days. Incl 30 min paid break.
Minimum of Level 1 in maths and English.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work well on their own
- Good telephone manner, polite and professional
- Ability to work in an organised and structured way
- Good understanding of IT
- Interest In Social Media
- Good understanding of Microsoft packages
- Good attention to detail
- Well-spoken and presentable
- Good sense of humour
- Ability to work within a close knit team
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework - consisting of the NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
