Migrant Help is a leading charity that has been established for over 50 years and delivers a range of support and advice services to migrants across the UK. Our vision is for a global society that protects migrants, treats them with respect and enables them to become successful members of their communities. 

We are currently recruiting for an IT Manager within our Dover office.

This vacancy is open to internal and external candidates.

The Role:

The purpose of this role is to act as a liaison between the charity and our IT, communications and systems suppliers, as well as lead on IT initiatives and developments for the organisation. The post holder will manage the IT department, associated staff and external support contracts(s). He/she will provide technical support and analyze problems in the use of IT facilities and systems. The post holder is expected to contribute to the overall success of the Organisation in accordance with Migrant Help’s aims, objectives, vision and values by providing a seamless service to clients.

The Requirements: 

The successful candidate will have very high standard of IT skills and experience of maintaining a wide range of computerised systems. Experience in integration of IT systems and knowledge of SQL/relational databases is essential. The post holder must have the ability to clearly explain procedures to people, with a widely differing knowledge of systems. This role requires a methodical approach to work and good analytical skills. He/She will also have experience is writing and presenting reports to senior management and key stakeholders with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.

This post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and a Counter Terrorism check.
