This is an exciting opportunity in Ramsgate, Kent for a Lead Performance Engineer. Cummins UK is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects developing exciting new electrification technology within Power Systems . Your impact will be seen in these and other ways: By leading the performance verification and commissioning for stationary power and mobile on/off highway market applications with power systems. This will include power system, power train and individual system components such battery pack, converter, inverter, BMS, breakers, A/C; the interaction with external power infrastructures and energy management systems; system control & functionality; By testing and monitoring the performance of new products through the development and build phases By providing reports and insights on the performance data to other stakeholders By working effectively with the Mechanical, Control Systems and Electrical design teams By leading and coaching the next generation of engineers Bringing passion & enthusiasm to the role and project. Qualifications Skills and Experience Required: Previous experience commissioning complex projects Knowledge of Power systems / generators preferred Knowledge and experience of working with battery systems / fuel cells, hybrid engines or full electric engines preferable. Experience of working in new product development environments. Required Education, Licenses or Certifications College, university, or equivalent degree in electrical or mechanical engineering area preferred or related technical experience in field required.
