Description of Vacancy
The Swanley Branch of Aalco offers a pleasant and professional working environment. We are looking for a junior office administrator to join our small and friendly team to help support the Sales office functions.
You will need to be a highly motivated individual who can compliment our team of professionals by ensuring consistent levels of great customer service and providing excellent Sales administration support.
We are looking for someone to complete general office duties and to offer support to our team. Some of the duties included will be:
- Post In/Out/Couriers
- Photocopying/Scanning documents & drawings
- General Filing duties
- Data Inputting
- Material ordering
- Order processing
- Developing supplier and customer relations
£3.50 per hour
37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Including 1 hr for lunch
Minimum of Level 1or equivalent in maths and English
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work well on their own and as part of a team
- Good maths and English skills
- Ability to work in an organised and structured way
- Good telephone manner, polite and professional
- Well organised
- Good attention to detail
- Well spoken and presentable
- Career minded and keen to progress
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards
This role has an excellent opportunity for advancement for the right candidate.
As of 1st April 2017, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
