Getting there

Within 5 minutes walking distance from Rochester Train Station. There are also frequent buses to the location as based within the High Street.

Description of vacancy

We are looking for a flexible apprentice to join our team in Rochester. You will need to have a keen interest in fashion and keen to learn all aspects of our business.


We are looking for an apprentice who is eager to learn all aspects of working within a small independent shoe shop is run.  We stock various shoe brands from Fit Flop to UGG to Rieker and Ruby Shop.

Duties will include:

  • Serving customers from all backgrounds to build loyalty
  • Learning about the types of footwear within the store including the technology behind the shoe designs
  • Processing deliveries as they arrive
  • Promoting our brands
  • General Housekeeping duties including cleaning and painting.
  • Replenishing stock
  • Assisting with displays


£105 per week, based on £3.50 per hour.


30 hours per week

(Some shift times may vary on busy periods but usually shifts will be inside the opening times of the store)

Store opening times are :-
Monday to Friday, 9:00am to-5:30pm
Saturday, 9:00am to 6pm
Sunday, 10:00am to 5:00pm

Skills Required

Previous customer service experience would be great but not essential for this role.

Personal Qualities

Flexible, enthusiastic with and interest in shoes.

Qualifications Required

Met the minimum requirements of the apprenticeship programme.

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework - consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
