Are you an aspiring chef looking for an opportunity to establish your cooking skills?
Does the thought of joining an experienced and close-knit team in an established seafood restaurant in the heart of historic Canterbury appeal to you?
If so then you may be exactly the person that Chapman’s Seafood Bar & Brasserie are looking for to join their team as an apprentice chef. Working mainly with seafood, you will have an opportunity to learn a range of skills that will support you in gaining your Level 2 Diploma in Food Production & Cooking.

As the apprentice chef you will be responsible for a range of duties including:
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment
-Producing a range of dishes (with a particular emphasis on seafood)
- Preparing meals for distribution
-Cleaning of utensils and other kitchen equipment
£3.50 per hour (£105 per week) with a potential for more subject to a successful probationary period.
30 working hours per week which will be spread across shifts that will include evenings and weekends.
Minimum grade A-D in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
Appointment of candidate will be subject to successful completion of a work trial.

Above all, they should have a real passion for food, in particular seafood, in order to help us to continue serving great dishes.
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework - consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
