We are looking for an individual to join our Post Room team for a 6 month period. Working within a small team of Post Room Assistants you will be; Opening, preparing and distributing all incoming mail Logging incoming registered mail and distributing Logging and scanning Registered Documents (EG: Passports / Driving Licences / Power Of Attorney.) Distributing post to various departments. Barcoding incoming mail for scanning onto Documation. Quality checking work processed via Documation Collections of mail from both Chatham buildings. Franking mail from all departments Balancing Neopost machine. Returning mail to cardholders (subject to criteria) Updating and Collating daily MI Recording outgoing mail that is sent via Recorded/Special delivery Recall/collection of archiving boxes Skills and Experience Experience with Microsoft Applications is desirable You'll be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths You'll have excellent organisational skills You'll be a good team player & enjoys working in a team environment. You'll have the ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure You are You'll have a methodical approach to your work You'll be flexible and adaptable to the types of work expected of you You'll have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate with other areas of the business both verbally & via Microsoft Applications You'll have a helpful approach when dealing with other areas of the business. WORKING CONDITIONS Location: Chatham 08.00 - 4:30 Monday to Friday some Saturday Working will be expected (Flexibility with hours may be required on occasions to cope with large volumes of work) Please be aware that there are times where the role can be quite physical, including carrying post, walking between buildings with and without the post trolley so candidates will need to be comfortable with this.
