Our internal Fraud department have a rare opportunity for a new member to join the Financial Crime team. This is an interesting role, dealing with all incoming and outgoing police and law enforcement enquiries and AML transactional monitoring. The role will suit a candidate who can take responsibility in becoming a subject matter expert in AML and industry legislation. The Role You will monitor accounts to assess possible cases of money laundering, and terrorist financing. Reviewing and investigating suspicious account activity and reporting relevant cases to the NCA. You will continually monitor the AML rules to ensure the bank is working smartly and efficiently to regulations. You will prepare and submit witness statements in response to law enforcement agency requests and Court Orders when required. Plus more You will liaise with both domestic and foreign banks in respect of merchant investigation and card pick up requests. You will be responsible for reporting any accounts suspected of money laundering or terrorist financing to NCA. You would be required to represent the Bank as a witness in court if required. What are we looking for? Financial Crime or Anti Money Laundering knowledge/experience is essential Knowledge of DPA & the Proceeds of Crime Act would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided You will have proven ability to analyse data Strong research and report writing skills are essential You must be self-motivated with a flexible attitude to your work to ensure targets are achieved The right candidate must ensure accuracy and confidentiality to their work at all times Working hours are 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
