As a Naval Architect, you won't just be involved in the design of vessels but will be able to get involved with aspects of manufacture through to launch, test and commissioning. Naval Architecture is a whole boat engineering discipline. This means that as a Naval Architect you'll not only be involved in the design of vessels, but also all aspects of manufacture right through to launch, test and commission. In the case of our businesses, you'll work to ensure that our surface ships and submarines do what they should do. A large part of the work involves computer based design. However, you'll also get extensively involved in other activities too - such as computer simulation modelling and physical model tank testing. Welcome to Naval Architecture in the real world. Learning and development We recognise that development is key to you fulfilling your professional potential and us delivering our business commitments. That's why we've created schemes where you take ownership of your career aspirations and we give you support, training and practical experience to help you succeed. Application Process We opened for applications on 1st September 2017, closing our graduate roles on 30th April 2018 therefore early application is advised. We ask all candidates to apply online using our application form to ensure our selection process is completely fair and consistent. Your online application will then go through a variety of strength-based selection methods, either online or face-to-face, and is likely to conclude at an assessment centre. If successful, you will be expected to start in the business on the first week of September 2018.
