As a fast-growing prestigious event caterer we require a Wedding & Event Coordinator to work at our premises in Faversham and on events at Winters Barns in Canterbury, Marleybrook House in Preston, Nr Canterbury, Mount Ephraim House & Gardens in Faversham and other venues in and around Kent. We require candidates who have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for the events industry. You must have great attention to detail and be ready to make people's dreams come true!

We are appointed sole caterers for 3 stunning venues and approved caterers for 4 other prestigious venues in Kent we also provide catering for high end private clients in their houses and marquees. The main purpose of the role is to create a wonderful client experience, and to ensure that all planning and coordination is delivered in operations on the day as per agreements.

The successful candidate will be encompassing the following as part of their role:-

  • Following up and converting sales leads using the online contact management system
  • Client liaison from start to finish including meeting with clients to discuss their requirements and managing events on the day
  • File management
  • Staffing
  • Event Management for 20 – 120 approx. covers
  • Clothing tables, setting tables, folding napkins, service both of food and beverages including bar work.
  • Planning, menu tasting and client management
  • Representing the company at exhibitions/marketing fairs
  • Planning new promotions and initiatives, and contributing to business development

In terms of background, you will need to have worked in hospitality for a minimum of 6 months. You will be financially astute, immaculately presented and be able to develop the client experience.

The salary on offer is between £17,000 and £18,500 depending on experience. In the main this is a 7-day operation, and as many events take place at the weekend working Tuesday to Saturday or Wednesday to Sunday will be the norm.

If you match the following criteria, then this position may be for you:-

  • At least 6 months hospitality experience
  • Effective communicator
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills/a real eye for detail
  • Intermediate working knowledge of MS Word is essential
  • Self-motivated and disciplined
  • Hard working and enthusiastic
