Our client is a well-established and very successful freight forwarder offering a global freight service. Operating from a strong financial base and with direct access to the vast resources of a large and successful group specialising in international logistics and distribution we are now looking for a Sales Executive. Your role is predominately office based in Dover, covering the Kent and surrounding region with customer visits as and when required. A senior role in the business so therefore you will lead by example, but with no direct people responsibility. Your role will involve Identifying new sales leads and canvassing, actively pursue / follow up, negotiate and close. Developing sales opportunities from data held within the internal CRM system Diligently follow-up on all incoming sales leads and provide feedback. Manage tender enquiries for larger 'A' list customers with communication and co-ordination to all relevant internal parties. Face to face customer meetings where required with specific objectives and results to achieve. In order to apply for this role you will have a proven sales track record of gaining new business from the freight forwarding industry and successfully working to and exceeding Sales Targets. Excellent relationship building skills, Identifying new business opportunities and ability to close successfully. Ability to prioritise, organise & manage time efficiently is essential. The client will also consider candidates from a Transport and Logistics, European and UK Pallet, Haulage, UK Express and International Parcels, International and UK Mail, European Freight Forwarding etc An outgoing, lively, engaging and knowledgeable personality to manage relationships with customers and sales prospects. A self-motivated, aggressive attitude, with drive and ambition. Commercial awareness and ability to negotiate at a high level. Able to work as part of a dedicated and professional team.
