CAD Technician - Dartford £30,000 - £35,000 Package Based in Dartford and Greater London you will work in the Energy department for one of the largest privately-owned construction firms in the UK. The successful candidate will possess a high level of accuracy in producing industry standard drawings and be a good team player. The role is primarily to assist during design stage and updated plans during the construction stage. This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD Technician with proven experience preferably in the Electricity Power Distribution industry. The Role: To manage and monitor the design and planning team in order to carry out: Surveying Duties · Obtains required service drawings and all other relevant information on planned routes · Prepare survey plans and spread sheets to assist during design stage · Assist surveying resources in collation of information on site · Assist in analysing of survey data and edit such in required format CAD · Produce as-constructed plans to client specification (trial hole records and/or as-laids) · Carry out relevant site visits to establish current information enabling timely submission of as-constructed plans · Input data to produce necessary traffic management plans and plot out accordingly · Produce traffic management drawings where required Site Data Records · Assist in monitoring and recording of daily productivity information · Liaise with the Surveying Team to record required data · Liaise with Project Managers and Supervisors to plan and record survey data Skills and Experience: · Holder of a relevant professional or vocational qualification · Experience with UKPN Standards and Procedures · Ability to analyse problems and offer solutions · Resourcefulness and ability to work under pressure · Prioritisation and responsibility skills · Good communicator · Able to work on their own initiative, within established procedures and as part of a team · Methodical in their working practices · Knowledge of the construction industry · Ability to analyse problems and offer solutions · Commercial awareness and understanding · Leadership and responsibility · Ability to manage people and resources to reach the successful completion of the projects for which the post holder is responsible · Ability to give presentations and participate in other marketing events on behalf of the Company · Ability to provide support to the tendering and estimating functions · Extensive technical knowledge · Computer literate · Ability to motivate people to reach common goals · Be well presented when dealing with clients · Good negotiator · Good team player This job was originally posted as www.careerstructure.com/job/82257423
