Headquartered in Chicago, RTC is a leading global provider of retail marketing services to international brands and retailers. We research shopper behaviour, design and manufacture store interiors and supply a range of our own proprietary products to customers including LEGO, Phase 8 and Sonos. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bench Joiner to join our model shop team, based at our site in Sittingbourne.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are as follows:
• To carry out general joinery works as instructed by your line manager and ensuring that the quaity is off the highest standard required. Ensuring that all works are completed by the target dates.
• To plan, monitor and process a range of production items for multiple projects ensuring that they are processed as per the customers’ requirements and within timing and quality expectations.
• To carry out daily routine maintenance checks and report any defects before use.
• To ensure that your workstation and machine working areas are kept in good clean and safe order.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience working with laminates, veneers, MDF, solid timbers and solid surface, and will be confident in the use of the beam saw, edge bander, panel saw and spindle moulder. A strong understanding of wood shop manufacturing processes and machine setting is essential as is an eye for detail and quality. A positive attitude and a strong team ethic are also required. Some out of hours working will be required.
