Electrical Technician Job Description Role: Full Time Site Based Electrical Technician - Fixed Term Contract (12 months) Location: Northfleet, Kent - UK As a result of our continued growth and success, a fantastic job opportunity has arisen for a site based Electrical Technician (fixed term contract for 12 months) in our Northfleet Mill. You will join our brilliant, successful and fun team who are responsible for producing ANDREX®, one of the UK's most recognisable and celebrated brands since 1942. The first thing to mention here is that you will be based at and work in Northfleet Mill. No additional travel will be expected. You will work as part of our asset team and utilise your incredible electrical technical skills to ensure the rapid resolution of all electrical issues. You will be the go to person for ensuring that all technical decisions are made with full awareness of the operational needs so you will need to be comfortable with a high level of responsibility and decision making. We have a very strong safety ethic at KC and take safety really seriously. All of our teams are considered safety champions so you will need to be used to working to high personal safety standards and ensuring compliance UK regulations at all times. You will also be supporting, and in fact, driving the resolution of any asset safety issues that may arise and you'll take this one step further by working with the Asset Engineer to carry out risk assessments in support of maintenance tasks and development work. As you would expect we depend heavily on the reliability of our assets so we need you to support the development of site wide reliability systems. This will include preventative and predictive maintenance programs to ensure our assets achieve their operating commitments. You'll also be responsible for providing technical advice and expertise on operation and optimisation of equipment and processes to ensure we continue working in a lean way. We're looking for you to have at least completed an electrical apprenticeship and have a basic understanding of fault finding within a manufacturing environment. Experience in PLC fault finding and basic programming abilities e.g. Rockwell, Allen Bradley, Siemens, VSD and motion control would be ideal. We would love it if you came from an FMCG background and had experience working with Palletising equipment, Fault finding of pneumatic systems and writing and issuing permit to work documentation but if not we can help you learn these bits.
