Registered Locality Manager - Learning Disabilities
A fantastic opportunity for a Locality Manager has arisen to join this well-respected group of Care Homes with a great ethos and reputation. The Locality Manager is responsible for the day to day running of care & support services for adults with Learning Disabilities. You will ensure services are delivered in a way that puts people we support at the centre of their care and promotes rights, choice, dignity and diversity. Responsibilities: You will ensure the designated service(s) meet all organisational and statutory requirements and that the service(s) are delivered in compliance with Care Quality Commission Guidelines (CQC), Care & Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) and Minimum standards, Policies and Procedures. Be accountable for ensuring people supported have a person-centered support plan and that each individual, and their circles of support, have been involved in the drawing up of the plans. Take responsibility for involvement by internal and external specialists and health professionals where appropriate, and implement any recommendations. Recruit, with Personnel, and retain appropriate staff in line with policies ensuring compliance with Equal Opportunities and Diversity values, current employment legislation and CQC/CSSIW Standards. Be accountable for the monitoring, assessment and reporting of the quality of the services provided. Be part of the on-call managers' rota with other managers for out of hours. Skills required: Level 5 Social Care qualification in line with the organisation's Strategic Aims or a willingness to complete the qualification within a designated timeframe Willingness to work towards a Level 7 Social Care Qualification as required. Experience of working at a senior level in a care/support setting for the last 3 years. Experience of coaching, mentoring and the ability to build a team.
