Community Projects and Funding Officer
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Funding Officer to join our dynamic Communities & Business Team. We are looking for a self-motivated and organised person to manage the Council’s community grant schemes, identify funding opportunities and write funding bids to drive forward targeted community projects.
With a proven track record for managing performance, you will also work closely with our key partners, such as leisure providers, to monitor financial and outcome targets and ensure excellent levels of service for our residents.
You must be confident to advise and support external partners, including community groups, voluntary sector organisations and Town/Parish Councils. As a key point of contact for partners, you will build and co-ordinate strong partnerships to drive outcomes for communities and services.
You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to write reports at a strategic level for senior manages and Members. You must have an excellent attention to detail and be used to providing clear reasoned advice to decision makers.
