LEAD TECHNICIAN - MECHANICAL
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our Engineering Team. You will play an integral part in the function of the Maintenance Services Team, ensuring that the organisations assets are designed, constructed, maintained and repaired effectively, efficiently and to the appropriate standards of safety. You will be required to assist the management team in connection with the day to day running of the mechanical workshop, ensuring works are completed to a satisfactory standard as per the agreed published schedule, resource rescheduling of emergency reactive works.
In this role you will be required to:
Carry out audits of on-going internal resourced works, liaise with and assist site staff to ensure the work is carried out safely, in accordance with the specification and to the required quality standard.
Liaise with operations, contractors, port stakeholders and other external parties, as appropriate, to ensure that the maintenance works are carried out with minimum disturbance.
Provide assistance and provision of technical knowledge to others.
Support staff development, provision of feedback on assessment forms and provide information to the Maintenance Team Leader in relation to performance management.
Perform to role of Lead Technician (Mechanical), including setting objectives, undertaking performance reviews, managing leave and most importantly, providing support and advise to the team.
Skills and Qualifications
HNC/HND in mechanical trade discipline
Working knowledge of CDM Regulations
Previous experience of leading Mechanical Technicians and Apprentices
Full UK Driving Licence
Ability to work from height and confined spaces.
