Operational Clerk Dover Full Time Permanent Job Purpose Performing various administrative and clerical tasks to support the Drivers Reception, Stock Control and Trading desk. Undertaking a variety of activities in the office ranging from the update of the company data base and future warehouse management system. Duties of Post Holder  Maintain business data bases and future warehouse management systems, including management of Vehicle Booking Systems (VBS)  Manage customers and hauliers  Control of stock including resolution of queries and providing information to both internal and external customers and management.  Preparing reports, statistical analysis and inventories.  Produce complex documents/spreadsheets, using Word/Excel as appropriate.  Adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and respond positively to new and alternate systems.  Assist with other planning work of the business as necessary.  Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate. Generic Duties Any other duties assigned by the line manager from time to time. Such duties will be reasonable in relation to the jobholder's skills, abilities and status. To comply with environmental instructions and to identify potential risks to the environment, or areas where environmental impact can be reduced. To comply with all safety instructions and to accept responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others who may be affected by what you do. To identify potential risks in the work area, and to report such risks promptly to management. ESSENTIAL Qualifications High standard of education, including English and Maths. Experience Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role. Demonstrable experience of providing a proactive and efficient administrative skills. Working in a customer focused environment. Specialist Skills and Knowledge Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products Demonstrate a collaborative work style. Proven organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
