Description of Vacancy
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and established nursery in the heart of Canterbury.
As the apprentice nursery practitioner you will play an important role in supporting the children’s needs through quality education and care.
If you are looking for your first steps in childcare this is the ideal place to start, but if you already hold an existing Level 2 we are happy to offer a Level 3 Apprenticeship.
This is a shift based role, working 37.5 paid hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 08:00 – 18:00.
Breaks of a minimum of 30 minutes will be included, but will not be paid.

- As a charity we expect all staff to help with events outside of working hours in the form of fundraising
Successful applicants will need to provide ‘right to work in the UK’ documentation, undertake a DBS and provide two satisfactory references prior to commencing employment.
Grade C/4 or equivalent in GCSE English, Maths and ICT.
Due to the nature of the role, your offer of an apprenticeship will be subject to references and a DBS check.
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework - consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
