Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) is seeking to recruit a temporary Category Officer to join their Procurement and Commercial Team. The Team is formed of four categories; Facilities Management & Construction (Property); ICT; Fleet & Professional Services and Operations. The post holder will support the Fleet and Professional Services category.
You will report directly to the Category Lead and provide support in developing and promoting an innovative approach to procurement and market analysis, with direct involvement in setting up new methods of service delivery to achieve best value in procurement.
You are also expected to support the Category Lead in designing and delivering national strategies to maximise collaboration opportunities across the blue light sector under the National Fire Commercial Transformation Programme.
You should be a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), or have a commitment to working towards CIPS Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply by examination, and have knowledge of EU tendering and contract regulations.
