Description of Vacancy
An excellent opportunity to work with an established coffee distribution company in Greenhithe. Join a small friendly and supportive team who will enable you to develop your skills in Office Administration and management. With accuracy and good attention to detail, our Business Apprentice will provide excellent administration and office support along with customer service to all parts of the business.
Answering telephone and filtering calls.
General filing – Sales and purchase invoice etc.
Updating sale cards from invoices.
Updating Servicing records (QFM)
Typing service invoices.
Assisting with the new web site admin on set up and business as usual.
Updating recall sales lists
Price list creation
Making up samples for customers
General photocopying and scanning
Post office duties
Sending EMAIL copy invoices
Managing monthly statements by e-mail or post
General administration support for the main office
£4.50 per hour
£168.75 per week
Monday – Friday 9am – 5:30pm
37 ½ (paid)
1-hour lunch break (unpaid)
Have excellent telephone manner
Have good numeracy, literacy and organisational skills
Delivering good customer service to partners who visit the business
Ability to follow processes and procedure accurately
Experience of computer input
Knowledge of Word and Excel
Problem solving skills
Excellent attendance and punctuality
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Must have a flexible approach to work, with the ability to multi task
An open mind to further training and development
A good team player
Have a meticulous and efficient work ethic
Attention to detail
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent Level 2 Qualification.
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work-based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
