Semma4 is a long established military surplus supplier specialising in supplying direct to Cadet Detachments (CCF, ACF, ATC and Sea Cadets), British Armed Forces, Regular Army and TA units nationwide.
Operating from retail premises in Maidstone and also offering online sales.
Drawing from a combined 24 years’ experience in the British Army, they offer friendly and knowledgeable advice on a range of products and services.
They also provide a garment printing and embroidery service.
Description of Vacancy
An exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for online sales and establishing web presence to join a friendly team in Maidstone. The company sell military products, so would suit someone (though it is not essential) who has an interest in this field.

Support the business with ideas for improvement and marketing the online store
Managing online product sales via E-Bay
Writing product listings with creative flare to stand out from other products
Dealing with internet enquiries and customers on the telephone and via email
General storeroom duties eg stock control
Learn and maintain an understanding of products and pricing
General administrative duties
£3.70 per hour (travel expenses may be considered)
40 hours a week
Monday – Friday
9.00am – 5.00pm
Confident when dealing with others
Good team player
Ability to multi-task
Knowledge of airsoft and air rifles an advantage or willing to learn
Willingness to learn
Able to contribute to ideas
Minimum achieved Grade D or equivalent in English and Maths.
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard– consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
