Employer Description

Able Skills is an accredited centre securing approval to deliver qualification training from City & Guilds, EAL, CITB and BPEC, for Electrical training, we are also an IET Centre of Excellence. We are amongst the few training providers who can offer you progression and if qualifications are your choice – take you from novice to expert.


Description of Vacancy

Do you want to work in a small company with big ideas about construction training? You will be taking on a variety of duties and interesting projects. Training will be given on all aspects of the work carried out and you will be familiarised with the extensive range of courses and services we provide. Come and help us grow our business.

Main duties and responsibilities:-

To gain knowledge of our extensive and complex range of courses

To gain knowledge of our Company Sage accounts system

To answer, screen and transfer telephone calls

To check e-mails and respond where necessary

To photocopy, scan and fax documents

To receive and check sales orders and liaise with production team

To sort and open post

To undertake any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required



£3.70 per hour



Hours: Monday to Friday 09.00 am to 17.00 hrs. with a ½ hour for lunch.

Able to work on own initiative

Qualifications Required

Minimum achieved Grade D or equivalent in English and Maths.

Well spoken and presentable


Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards


Important Information

The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
