Apprenticeship Healthcare Worker (Level 2/Intermediate)
Hillbeck is a care home or up to 59 residents with dementia.
We provide 24hr care and attention 365 days of the year.
We encourage training and will support staff with regular supervisions.

Do you want to make a difference to people's lives?
As a carer you will support our residents with all aspects of their personal care, whilst trying to encourage them to maintain as much independence as possible within a safe environment.

- Providing hands on care and attention for vulnerable older people with a dementia.
- Assisting people to the toilet – ensuring personal hygiene needs are met.
- Ensuring residents privacy and dignity is always maintained.
- You may need to assist someone with feeding if they are unable.
- There is likely to be some manual handling of people but training will be given.
£7.38 regardless of age, this increases in April 2019 to £8.21 an hour.
Once qualified we will increase the hourly rate.
Seven days a week needs to be covered including weekends on a rota basis.
Shift pattern days will be:
8am to 2pm – ½ hr unpaid break
2pm to 8pm – ½ hr unpaid break
8am to 8pm – 1 hr unpaid break that can be split up.
Shift pattern on nights if you are 18 and over will be:
8pm to 8am – 1 hr unpaid break that can be split up.

A-D Maths and English or equivalent.
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
