We are currently working with a leading global manufacturer of specialist products.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Engineer to join their team.

The SMT Engineer will ensure that manufacturing resources required for the production process are available, operational and maintained so that the production system is able to operate effectively with a focus on Electronic Production support.

SMT Engineer responsibilities will include:

*To investigate and repair to component level production failure PCB's.
*Identification of process and equipment requirements to ensure production output and quality can be achieved.
*Introduction of new products from initial design & prototypes through to mass production.
*Preparation of proposals/justifications for production equipment.
*Identify, investigate and implement production process improvements.
*To investigate and rectify day to day production problems and repair of test fixtures.
*Build electronic circuits to improve test equipment.
*Working with outside contractors scheduling planned maintenance and carrying out regularly scheduled maintenance on production equipment.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have a passion to contribute to the success of the business. You will possess the following:

*HNC in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
*Certificate courses for manufacturing (desirable)
*Minimum of 2 year's experience within an electronic engineering role and knowledge of Surface Mount Technology
*Prior electronic engineering experience in the manufacturing industry (desirable).
*SAP experience.

Hours for this role will be Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4pm.
