JOB DESCRIPTION - Estimator Reporting to: Managing Director Hours of work: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Saturday (alternate Saturdays) Location: Based in our Sevenoaks showroom with client visits in the West Kent area MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION Our client are a specialist flooring provider based in Kent and the South East working with the very best suppliers of flooring. The services provided are as follows; carpets, including plant fibres and fabric, Amtico and other luxury vinyl tiles, rugs in addition to engineered wood flooring. Trading since 2015 the company is well established with an excellent client portfolio and an innovative approach in the way they work with their customers and suppliers within Tunbridge Wells and Kent. The Estimator will be responsible for visiting residential and commercial premises of our clients and undertake ‘inhouse' estimations onsite, whilst providing potential customers with a high degree of knowledge around the products and services of our client. The Estimator will also be required to generate new leads through networking and sales channels to positively promote our client. The role requires someone that likes a fast pace and can own their responsibilities whilst coordinating flooring fitters and suppliers and providing and exceptional service to customers and supporting the Company Director. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Key holder to Sevenoaks showroom according to days listed in the roster Maintain a clean and orderly showroom environment at all times Customer liaison instore Take proactive and prompt action on any customer feedback Liaising with supply chain and warehouse to ensure orders are booked Measuring and quoting on site for delegated projects Ability to estimate across all material - carpets and hard flooring Visualisation using software of Amtico Flooring Liaising with installers once the order has been booked Loading and seeing out installation staff every morning Coordinate and communicate any complaints to supplier Ordering samples from suppliers to go direct to clients Maintaining stock lists and making orders for equipment and materials (Products) Interacting with Director and carrying out their requests Sending out monthly newsletters to clients and assisting with marketing Attending regular networking, events, trade fairs and exhibitions to positively promote Hudson Flooring KEY SKILLS A minimum of three years' experience working as an Estimator Highly proactive, driven and willing to work in a busy and growing business with little supervision Excellent time keeping Eye for detail and ability to multi task Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills Good Microsoft Office Skills Ability to use cloud-based software Driving License If you have the following key behaviours please apply within: Excellent customer service skills Superb communication skills Motivated to succeed Good sense of humour Ability to work independently or as a team player Excellent attention to detail Strong organisational skills Ability to work under pressure Excellent time management skills Positive, driven, can-do approach to all areas of work
