Management Accountant | Kent | £25 - £36k Depending on Experience A large International organisation is looking for a forward thinking Assistant Management Accountant to join them in a Business Partnering capacity in a newly created role at their Kent office. The purpose of this role is to take responsibility for supporting the manufacturing, engineering and warehousing operations of the business with controlling their cost function. You will do this by Partnering with the UK business and focusing on adding value by assisting with: Preparing budgets, forecasting and analysis of cost activities to ensure accurate reporting to support the company’s management in business decision making Acting as the main finance contact for the management team Responsible for accurate and timely cost reporting for the site. For the actual, forecast, latest estimate, budget and scenario planning financial data. Internal to UK, region and group reporting. External for statutory and regulatory purposes Support the Plant Finance Partner - with business partnering Supply Chain including planning and procurement Possess a detailed understanding of the manufacturing business processes and information flows including cross functional cross overs. Conduct analyses and provide recommendations for improvements of operations Support Plant Finance Partner - with the product costing, unit cost reporting and inventory management processes for UK during Budget and Forecasts and to provide cover for annual leave as required Support the Finance Business Partner and Controller with the coordination of monthly close, forecast, budget and latest estimate activities including interpretation of variances and advice to management Manage financial investment process and support Lead Finance Business Partner with consolidation of UK capital expenditure budget, forecast and monthly reporting, including disposal, business In order to be considered for this role you must be, or about to be, studying towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA) with the ability to work in a financial business partner role. You will have a high level of commercial business acumen preferably gained in a manufacturing or FMCG background and have excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
