Service Department Administrator We are looking for an organised and customer focused Administrator to provide administrative and customer support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Service Department. Our client is a multi-sited medium sized expanding family run business within the mechanical machinery industry. Experience of working in a Service Department is ideal, but not essential. Role Requirements: Assist with co-ordinating Technicians for the Service Team Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner Open workshop jobs and progress chase to ensure work carried out as quickly and efficiently as possible Ensure Service Department is adhering to H & S and company Safe Working Practices Deal with all incoming phone/email/mail service enquiries and escalate to relevant colleagues when required Monitor training needs of Service Technicians Scheduling working day for Service Technicians Keep Internal Colleagues and Clients updated on the Service status of the machinery Person Requirements: Ideally Service Department experience although a candidate with very strong administration and customer care skills will be considered Excellent verbal and written communication Experience using Microsoft Office Able to remain calm in a high pressure environment Ability to prioritise workload Flexible approach to work Commercial awareness Keeping lines of communication open across internal and external customers at all times Salary: Circa £26,000 Working Hours: Standard hours are 8am to 5pm Mon to Fri with an hour for lunch 8am to 1pm rota Saturdays (usually 1 in 3 and can work remotely in winter hours) Winter and summer months are between when the clocks change Benefits: 24 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays 3% matching pension Cycle to work schemes Discount hospitality offers Group family fun days / activities Wellington Powell Ltd are acting as an Employment Agency on behalf of our client.
