Apprentice Accounts Manager
Located in Discovery Park in Sandwich, a world-class vibrant community of skilled professionals, Custom Toys UK design and build soft toys, cuddly characters, stuffed animals, mascots and dolls for their corporate clients catering to all sectors from promotional items, through to mass retail.
Due to expansion, Custom Toys is now seeking an apprentice Accounts Manager to join our friendly team.
This role will focus on sales of built to order plush toys or vinyl figurines. You will be expected to act as the first point of contact with new and existing customers, answer their enquiries and increase client satisfaction.

You will use your communication skills to identify and address clients’ needs while representing our company in a positive way. Some previous customer service, account management or junior sales experience will be an advantage.
Ultimately, you will contribute to building profitable, long-term relationships with our clients to reach our business objectives.
- Gather information on assigned clients (e.g. company size, information etc…)
- Contact clients to understand their requirements and work on a sales plan
- Provide after-sales support to retain customers
- Ensure prompt and accurate answers to clients’ enquiries
- Build strong client relationships, through regular communication
- Report on the status of accounts
- Suggest company products/services that maximize client satisfaction
- Communicate product and pricing details clearly
- Coordinate with the rest of the sales team
- Promote new products/services to existing customers
3.90 per hour + bonus linked to Company profit and personal performance

GCSE in English and maths A-C/9-4 or equivalent
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard – consisting of the NVQ Business Administration, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
As of 1st April 2019, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
