Sales Manager - Publishing
With an enviable history of family ownership dating back to the 19th century, my client is a West End and Kent based publishing/events house. Their culture is one of friendly collaboration with each other and they most certainly like to socialise too - a genuinely nice team of people They are now offering an incredible opportunity to someone with about 2-3 years sales experience to work on their Transport based publications, print media and website and events and exhibitions. This role has a mix of existing clients and targeting potential new clients within the industry. Working in a team of 5 people, the atmosphere is fun and fast paced. Main Purpose of Job To be responsible for obtaining new business and increasing existing revenues from all clients pertinent to the sector. To ensure delivery of target results within budget. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for new business development of the magazine and associated websites and events Responsible for the preparation and delivery of clear and well-planned telephone and face-to-face sales presentations to existing and potential new customers. Responsible for keeping up to date with competition magazine, websites and events. Accurate maintenance of client records, leads information and market intelligence. Following up leads and recognizing buying signals from current advertisers. Responsible for all administration and paperwork, including sales proposals and letters. Manning of exhibition stands to promote our products and to take advantage of all business opportunities. Responsible for maintaining agreed sales standards. Key performance Criteria To develop new business for the group To achieve and exceed agreed revenue targets for advertising. To take advantage of sales leads to promote new business To be fully conversant with your market and those of the sector To develop and maintain good working relationships with other members of the team and other departments as necessary. To be up to date with market knowledge.
