The GP practice serves a population of 11,900 patients with 7 GP Partners, 3 nurses, 2 HCA’s and a range of administrative and reception team. A busy practice providing primary care services.


Description of Vacancy
A receptionist/administrator role requiring applicants to book appointments, taking and receiving clear concise and accurate messages. Sign posting patients to other support services. Role includes the opportunity to handle post, scan medical information into confidential records, read code medical data.

Apprentice Administrator/Receptionist duties:

Book appointments 
Liaise with patients 
Deal with telephone enquiries 
Record keeping 
Liaise with GPs 
Organise appointments 
Scan documents 
Deal with confidential records.
Handle post, internal external.


Wage
£166.50 = £4.50/hr x 37 hours


Hours
Monday to Friday 37 hrs working regular shift patterns to cover core hours between 7.30 a.m. – 6.30 p.m.. (1 hour unpaid lunch break)

After full training 6.30 – 8.00 p.m. Monday – Friday and Saturdays 9.00 – 1.00 in rotation will be required as part of 37 hour working week.

Training Provided
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
