SAFETY & SECURITY MANAGER

Tonbridge School is one of the leading boys’ boarding schools in the country and is highly respected, both here and internationally, for providing a world class education.  The School employs over 800 staff in both academic and support staff positions. The school has excellent facilities which are set in a 150-acre site, including a Sports Centre, Theatre, Chapel and state of the art Science Centre.

We are seeking to appoint a Safety & Security Manager to join the team.  This is an excellent opportunity to support and enhance the School’s provision in the areas of Health & Safety, Security and Safeguarding.  The position requires a sound understanding of current legislation in Health & Safety, Security and Safeguarding.  Experience in delivering training would be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and expertise in four key areas: however, you may be required to successfully complete appropriate training where necessary to ensure that the School is fully compliant with current regulations and standards.

  • Health and Safety at work regulations and risk assessments.
  • Physical/building security issues.
  • Safeguarding and child protection standards and procedures.
  • Training programmes designed to inform and educate staff, pupils and visitors.

Salary: Circa £35,000 to £40,000 per annum subject to experience and qualifications.
