Retail/Office Support Assistant (Level 2/Intermediate)
The Belly Bar Bromley has been established since 2005. Our shop and studio is located in the heart of Bromley’s busy shopping area and we are fully registered/licensed with Bromley Borough Council. We are Bromley’s original piercing/tattoo studio and body jewellery retailer.
We cater for aspects of body decoration; we have a very wide ranging stock of jewellery suitable for all types of piercings and body art.
Description of Vacancy
We are a fun-loving professional team working in a popular Tattoo studio. We are looking for a keen individual who enjoys meeting people, is confident and is able to provide meet and greet for potential customers along with administration support and customer service. The apprentice will eventually be required to have a full knowledge on all aspects of the company’s artists and their portfolios. You will discuss customer’s requirements and help provide the best match of artist. The apprentice will be required to advise on prices, prepare interesting shop displays, investigate and compile written information and provide a variety of administration and support for other members of the team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an outgoing individual who is really interested in providing front of house and reception service for a very busy and fun company. We would like potential candidates to be able to create a pleasant and professional image to our customers and be well informed on all our products, artists and services.
Some of the duties included in the role will be:-
Meeting and greeting potential customers as they enter the shop
Being able to provide information on products and prices.
Assist in preparing shop and window displays
Taking payments from customers and ensuring all records are up to date.
Assisting other team members including sterilisation of jewellery and tools.
Ensuring shop cleanliness at all times
Ordering goods and supplies
Keeping up to date database of customers
Supporting team members

£3.70 per hour
37.5 hours, over 5 Days per week (Days to be agreed with Manager)

Minimum of Level 1 in both Literacy and Numeracy or GCSE Equivalent.
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
