Description of Vacancy
Southern Roofing & Building Supplies are currently looking for an Business Administration Assistant to join our small and friendly team. Ideally, we are looking for someone who works well under pressure, has the ability to work at a quick pace and has the enthusiasm to want to exceed in all expectations and be a key part of the team. The role will involve dealing customers at our trade counter and via the telephone and email. Processing sales documents, quotations, payments, stock control and general office duties. Helping to promote the company and its services to new and existing clients.
Serving customers on the trade counter Invoicing and Quote preparation. Taking payments Stock control Assisting with social media Making customer contact through both email and telephone Filing / Archiving documentation as appropriate
Monday – Friday
Daily/weekly hours to change on a rota basis (07.00 – 16.00 and 08.00 – 17.00)
1 hour of unpaid breaks.

Minimum achieved Grade D or equivalent in English and Maths.
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
