Invicta Marine Ltd are looking to recruit a trainee propeller repair technician at our workshop in the Historic Dockyard in Chatham. Preferably the successful candidate will have some experience working in an engineering / marine environment and have a good understanding of Microsoft office.

Qualifications preferred will be Maths, English and a Science at GCSE level. A suitable Welding / Fabrication certificate would be an advantage, however full welding training will be given.

The role will have a 3 month probation period where you will be learning the skills and day to day operations of the company.

Duties will include: welding, grinding, polishing, workshop maintenance and housekeeping. Admin work including: preparation of condition / service reports, invoicing and supplier/customer quotations.

The total working week hours will be 40 and rate of pay will depend on age and experience, to be discussed with the successful candidate after interview phase.

Candidates will need to be flexible regarding hours on occasions.
