A confident Customer Services person with a positive attitude is required in a small busy family-run office in Rainham. The position involves answering the phone and speaking to existing and potential new customers about shipping and Customs clearance, taking their details, then sending emails and quotes. This is not a telesales job. You must have a good telephone manner, be well spoken and clear, have good English (both verbal and written), have good computer skills with knowledge and experience of using MS Office: Outlook (Email), Excel and Word. Shipping (Import/Export) knowledge will be advantageous but not essential as on the job training will be given.
Initially the role is part-time, 10:00am-2:00pm (flexible), but hours can be increased to become full-time in line with the workload. The position requires someone who can work as part of a team but is also capable of using their own initiative. The company also operates a quarterly bonus scheme and workplace pension. As we are a small team, a flexible approach to work is essential with a willingness to assist colleagues where necessary.
