Managed Care Consultant

Consultus Care and Nursing Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a Managed Care Consultant to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work for an award winning and established care organisation providing nearly sixty years of 24/7 live-in care in clients’ own homes. This is a family run business who are now looking for an individual to join their growing Managed Care Team providing live-in care services across the UK. This would suit someone with a care or nursing background with a level 4 or above NVQ qualification in Health and Social care. A people person capable of adapting to different situations, motivated by helping others, attention to detail, the ability to produce accurate home care assessments with full knowledge and experience of CQC policies, guidelines and practices. This is a full-time role, which will also require the person to take on an on-call rota in the evenings and weekends. The position is based at the company’s headquarters in Tonbridge, Kent


  • Undertaking home care assessments for new managed clients live-in care packages
  • Ensure the delivery of the highest quality care to clients
  • Ensure support and guidance to live-in carers in bookings
  • Ensure any regulatory activity, such as personal care risk assessments and administering medicines, is delivered within the regulations set by CQC
  • Liaise with clients/ representatives as well as other Health Care Providers/Professionals and attend reviews as and when required
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of the clients and carers
  • Oversee carers providing professional assistance and direction where appropriate
  • Keeping up to date with relevant regulations and legislation including CQC and company procedures
  • Ensure accurate paper and electronic documentation relating to all clients are maintained and confidentiality upheld

Experience and Skills

  • Level 4 NVQ qualification or above in Health and Social Care
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar role like a care co-ordinator
  • Clinical skills, previous assessment experience, knowledge and understanding of CQC guidelines.
  • Make decisions using professional expertise within a structured framework
  • Prioritise workloads and effective time management
  • Ability to work under own initiative and a good team player
  • Deliver detailed assessments, involving the client, families/ representatives and other professionals during the process.
  • Provide support to the carers to enable them to deliver a high-quality level of service to clients at all times
  • Current, clean UK drivers' licence and access to your own vehicle
