My client are looking for a professional Accounts/Payroll Assistant (Temp to Perm) - Standard DBS required to join a small friendly team based in West Malling.

Standard DBS Required
£15 - £20 per hour
Hours 8.30/9 until 5.30pm
1-hour break

The Role:
To assist the Payroll & Accounts Manager with all aspects of the monthly processing
of all company payrolls and accounts duties of which include:

Payroll
Supporting payroll manger in company payrolls from start to finish:
 Starter and leaver information, employee changes, statutory payments,
deductions and payments, expenses and overtime.
 Calculating, processing and updating records for sick and unpaid leave.
 Processing Pensions with monthly submission.
 Preparing Pension End of Year reports.
 Resolving all payroll queries.

Accounts
Supporting and Assisting the Accounts Team with all aspects of Sales and Purchase
Ledger
 Managing Accounts and Payroll Team email boxes.
 Telephone calls, scanning & photocopying.
 Sales and Purchase invoices input onto Sage.
 Credit Control
 Banking receipts and Bank reconciliations.
 Petty cash and credit card processing and reconciliation
 Weekly BACS payment runs
 Any other ad-hoc task given by Line Manager or Senior Manager

 Approachable, friendly and trustworthy.
 Organised and methodical.
 Flexible, with a natural ability and willingness to adapt to new situations
and work within a Team.
 Naturally self-motivated and disciplined.
 Energised by working with a fast-growing business

Skill Set:

 Experience in Sage Payroll and Sage Accounts
 Experience in accounts payable and receivable
 Accuracy and attention to detail
 Good general IT skills (including SAGE software and Excel)

Desirable:
 Studying towards Accountancy Qualification
 Experience of payroll administration and processing
 Experience in work within an owner owned / growing business
 Experience / knowledge of Pension processing
 Experience / knowledge of payroll / pensions
 Experience working with auditors
