IT Helpdesk Support (Temp to Perm opportunity)
The Aliaxis UK Ventures IT Support team are now looking for an additional team member with a passion for IT, a desire to learn and logical problem solving to join the business on a temp to perm basis. This is an office based position (Lenham, ME17 2DE) although currently subject to home working in line with the companies response to the Covid 19 pandemic. IT Support is provided to UK employees between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm, however some out of hours support for priority issues is offered. The position of IT Systems Support will provide first line/helpdesk support and provides a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career in IT Support with a leading Global Manufacturing business. The role… As IT Systems Support you will answer and respond to support requests, logging issues and resolving basic desktop and application related issues. This will include local hardware/software and simple network connectivity queries, resetting passwords and supporting printer issues. In addition you'll troubleshoot phone issues (android platforms) and also be involved in the hardware deployment of new laptops, tablets and mobile phones. Your primary focus will be the timely response to support calls either via email, phone or the internal helpdesk however there will also be an opportunity longer term to be involved in wider IT projects. Building strong IT relationships with colleagues, providing excellent customer service across our business and prioritising workloads is vitally important and therefore we're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, self motivation and a real desire to learn and develop their skills in IT support. In addition, you'll need to have: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical employees at all levels of the organisation A recognised IT qualification and good knowledge of Microsoft Server/Client environment including all versions of Windows Server from 2003 onwards Some knowledge of network infrastructures: LAN, wLAN, WAN, MPLS etc and associated hardware Experience of Office 365 applications About the rewards Development and training is important to us and we will provide support and assistance to support your on-going career development in IT.
