UK Financial, Planning & Analysis DATA Associate - Ashford - Enterprise House Monday - Friday, Up to £25000 basic salary, plus benefits. There's a lot of hungry mouths to feed out there, which is where you come in - to support the UK FP&A team in the production, analysis and development of accurate management reporting; driving accountability and transparency through the UK broad line business and guiding business decision making and ensuring that we deliver on our vision - to be our Customers' most valued and trusted business partner This role supports the UK FP&A team in the production, analysis and development of accurate management reporting data; driving accountability and transparency through the UK broad line business and guiding business decision making. This role will be directly responsible for the production, validation and analysis of data used in multiple reports providing insights into business performance and target setting. It requires leveraging multiple sources of structured and unstructured data from both systems and teams across the business, manage processes and data flows and ensuring data integrity is maintained at all times. Role context Based in Ashford with possible travel across the UK when required. Supporting the UK FP&A team in delivering transparent reporting, encouraging and facilitating the effective use of new software and processes. Regular liaison with teams across the business, including commercial finance, operations and central. 4 timeframes of planning, reporting and analysis: • Daily Sales analysis and reporting • Weekly Flash forecasting for current month and rolling forecast. • Monthly planning, full year forecast. • 3/5 year strategic planning. Principal accountabilities • Production, validation and analysis of multiple sources of financial and non-financial data from across the business used in the production of daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting. • Consolidation of weekly rolling forecast submissions. • Accurate and timely production of reports at appropriate levels of detail for use across the business, including Daily Sales, Volumes, COGS and various other KPI reporting. • Supporting month end processes, including reconciliations and snapshot feeds into monthly management accounts. • Reconciling measures across multiple data sources, analysing discrepancies and establishing processes or improvements to align. • Supporting the preparation of forecasts and scenario planning. • Maintaining a high level of data integrity for business planning and analysis. • Support and facilitate project work, process improvement and effective use of new software. • Managing timetabling and communications to wider finance teams and following up where necessary to ensure that deadlines are met so that tasks can be successfully completed. • Focus on personal development. • Ambassador for finance promoting cross functional collaboration and understanding. Knowledge, skills, experience and competencies Excellent commercial acumen and a good eye for detail, coupled with a strong academic background. A background in data sciences advantageous. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential to liaise effectively with those with both a finance and non-finance background. Is diligent, able to spot anomalies and question why. Able to use their initiative to follow enquires to a conclusion. Is proactive and has the enthusiasm and tenacity to strive for continuous improvement and added value. Confident inter-personal skills, with ability to business partner, influence and drive results. Organised and logical approach to challenges. Can see beyond the obvious and questions or challenges where necessary. Has the ability to prioritise and effectively manage different sources of information.
